Started in 1978 in San Jose, California, Future Energy began insulating entire homes, walls and attics and began looking for other ways in which to lead homeowners to more energy efficient and cost-saving products.

After over 30-years in the energy conservation business, the Adkins family has always put the homeowner first, now offering top-of-the-line products in heating and air conditioning, insulation, solar, exterior coating and window replacement. Jeffrey Adkins, seen at the left with his uncle Gale Fueborn, was born in 1955 and was a native of South Carolina. After graduating in 1973, he served four years active duty for the U.S. Air Force and an additional six years in the reserves. During his time in the military, Jeffrey continued to pursue his education and received his Business degree at West Florida. In 1979, he began his career in contracting and still continues in that chosen field today.

Jeffrey has also received several awards and was selected as Contractor of the Year by The Gas Company. He is a member of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Solar Roof Initiative. Married in 1986 to Jona, they have two children. Jenna is looking forward to attending college in Santa Barbara and Jake, now in junior high. “Family is everything to me,” says Jeffrey. “We have built our company on the premise that every family deserves the very best in products and service so that they can raise their families and live cost efficient,” Adkins continues.
